Central Illinois Marriott completes full-scale renovation

The Bloomington-Normal Marriott Hotel & Conference Center has completed a full-property renovation which encompassed upgrades to the guestrooms, public areas and meeting spaces. The completion of the redo was unveiled by Alpharetta, Ga.-based Atrium Hospitality, which operates the hotel located in Uptown Normal, Ill. The property is located near Illinois State University and surrounded by the area’s top employers and local attractions.

"Our goal was to elevate the entire guest experience while honoring the community's vibrant spirit," Ed Buckley, general manager of Bloomington-Normal Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. "From our revitalized rooms to our flexible event spaces, this renovation reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence."

The modernized guestrooms now has updated furnishings, improved lighting, luxurious bedding and upgraded in-room amenities designed to inspire rest and productivity, according to the company. Meanwhile, the lobby, lounge and communal areas have been redesigned to create a more open, welcoming atmosphere for socializing and remote work.

The hotel’s more than 23,000-square-feet of flexible event space has been enhanced with advanced audio-visual technology and contemporary finishes. In addition, the renovation incorporates energy-efficient lighting, low-flow fixtures and environmentally conscious design elements.
