Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has forged a global partnership with French audio technology company Devialet to enhance guest experiences with advanced sound systems across its portfolio of 96 hotels and resorts.
As part of the collaboration, Devialet will introduce curated soundscapes in Fairmont Gold guestrooms and hotel lobbies, offer select audio products through the Fairmont Store and support special events and pop-ups at Fairmont locations. The initiative builds on Fairmont’s long-standing ties to music and performance with its properties having hosted artists such as David Bowie, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, according to the company.
“Music has always been integral to the Fairmont guest experience and partnering with Devialet allows us to deliver the next generation of immersive sound experiences,” Omer Acar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement.
“By weaving Devialet’s sound signature into the heart of Fairmont’s spaces, we are making acoustic excellence a new cornerstone of hospitality,” added Jacques Demont, CEO of Devialet.
Upcoming activations include a “Disappearing Bar” pop-up at Fairmont Royal York in Toronto in September, pairing live music and cocktails, and a “Party Like It’s 1907” sound series revisiting historic performances at Fairmont hotels.
